Open Letter to Lincoln County Commissioners

Dear Lincoln County Commissioners,

Look, Libby is written about in Field and Stream.

Once again we are in a negative light. Once again tourists are given reasons not to visit. Why? I know why. What I don’t know is why you allow it to happen to us on your watch?

You can make it your mission to close down a volunteer Firehouse, yet you play nice with those who unleash grizzly bears and wolves into our backyards. I’m beyond disgusted.

Why are you allowing the Federal Government to push wolves and bears into our backyards? We voted for you to protect us from such things. Continue reading (21)

States Rights in the spotlight

by J.B. WilliamsNewsWithViews.com

After four and a half years in fraudulent federal dictatorship, Barack Obama has managed to stimulate only a few things in America – race and class warfare battles, gun and ammo sales, a $17 trillion public debt, a mass exodus of business investors and jobs heading overseas to “free markets” and a growing fight to enforce States Rights.

As the democrats’ Global Agenda has driven the United States deeper and deeper into Democratic Socialism via federal tyranny, literally unchallenged by DC Republicans who have almost entirely abdicated all congressional authority to both the executive and judicial branches, state legislators are rushing to reclaim their constitutional powers through a plethora of states’ rights legislative measures. Ron Paul: Should States have Liberty to Secede?

by Eve Robinson

Jefferson3The re-election of Barack Obama as the Democrat President of the USA, has provoked new bouts of secessionist sentiment in many Republican states in America. While there have been petitions on We the People, a Whitehouse e-petition website, for states such as Louisiana, the one to gain the most attention in the media has been the petition for Texas’ secession. This could be because 115,000 people signed up to it or because Texas has the longest history of secessionist sentiment.

Yet, do they have the right to independence at all? Does the constitution allow it? Is it the case, as many believe, that the Civil War answered all the questions? Continue reading (40)

The 2012 Montana Republican Party Platform

by Ed Berry

The 2012 Montana Republican Party Platform (PDF) is a major accomplishment by all those who participated in the 2012 update. It contains virtually all the dreams of the Montana tea parties while keeping the mainstream positions intact. It is by far the best political party platform for all conservatives, from mainstream to those who call themselves patriots.

This Platform shows the Republican Party is clearly the best path to freedom. Anyone who claims there is no significant difference between the two major parties is out of touch with reality. Continue reading (29)

Tim Baldwin Files Tenth Amendment Brief in 9th Circuit

by Tim Baldwin

As a Montana Attorney and lone Republican candidate for State House District 4, I filed this Amicus Brief in support of the Plaintiffs in the Federal appellate case, Montana Caregivers, LLC, et. al. v. United States, et. al. (12-35110).

The thrust of my argument penetrates the basis of this issue: how far can Congress overreach the Tenth Amendment? I argue, Congress’ commerce power has gone too far and the Courts need to reexamine the “substantial effects” doctrine as applied over the past 80 years to maintain our federal union. Executive Order gives Obama control of all USA resources

by BeforeItsNews.com

This Executive Order was posted on the WhiteHouse.gov  web site on Friday, March 16, 2012, under the name National Defense Resources Preparedness.  In a nutshell, it’s the blueprint for Peacetime Martial Law and it gives the president the power to take just about anything deemed necessary for “National Defense”, whatever they decide that is.    It’s peacetime, because as the title of the order says, it’s for “Preparedness”.  A copy of the entire order follows the end of this story. States Dissolving the Union: Pep-Rally Talk

by Timothy Baldwin, LibertyDefenseLeague

Anyone who has read my articles for the past several years knows I advocate the principles of Federalism and State Sovereignty. What is becoming a joke to me, though, is this demonstrably pep-rally doctrine that the States will and should dissolve the union because the federal government ignores the constitution—as if evident violations are new to our generation. What would be new, rather, is for people to address these constitutional problems in terms of practical political redress, not editorial hype and patriotic emotionalism. Continue reading (14)

HR 1505 is a fatal betrayal of America

by Dr. Ed Berry

America is defined by its Declaration of Independence and its Constitution. America is further defined by its English language, its Christian heritage, and its culture of achievement.

Politics is a triangle.

Many people think politics can be described by a horizontal line between left and right. In fact, this horizontal line is but the base of the political triangle. At the top of the political triangle is our Constitution. Those who support our Constitution, left or right, rise above the horizontal line in the direction of supporting true America. As they reach the peak, they converge. Continue reading (32)

SB 254 will use Montana Eminent Domain to take back Federal Land

by Ed Berry

Some state legislators are saying: “We can’t take it anymore!”

The feds are squeezing land resources and citizen patience in may states, especially the Inter mountain states like Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. It is all part of the green push to shut down American power production and industry by locking up land resources of individual states. Continue reading (9)

A War of Three Cultures

by Ed Berry

We are in a War of Three Cultures. The players are the Socialist Democrats, the Patriot Republicans, and the middle-of-the-road, “squishy” Republicans. The winner will be determined by which group collects the most votes in 2012.

The socialist Democrats craftily misinterpret our Constitution. The Patriot Republicans try to accurately interpret our Constitution. The middle-of-the-road, “squishy” Republicans go along with the Democrats so they don’t rock the boat. Continue reading (20)

Montana: When did the Bill of Rights become Unconstitutional and Un-American?

by JB Williams

Democrat Montana Governor Schweitzer made an unannounced visit to the Democrat Caucus Monday to voice his concern over what he calls these un-American and unconstitutional bills. –

“When we say, that we will nullify a portion of federal law that is simply saying that we don’t consider ourselves bound by the constitution of the United States of America, that’s very dangerous territory,”

says Governor Schweitzer. Continue reading (13)

The Clash of Fundamentals

by Attorney Timothy Baldwin
(approx. 730 words)

Recently, Britain’s Prime Minister, David Cameron, stated a political maxim he feels is worthy of admitting. Cameron acknowledged that multiculturalism doesn’t work. The catalyst, as it is admitted, to his acknowledgment is the cultural and political problems caused by fundamentally-opposed persons and activists infiltrating Britain and changing European philosophy into Islamic philosophy.

Senator Aubyn Curtiss: I Beg You to Support SB 114

by Senator Aubyn Curtiss

To the Montana Senate Judiciary Committee:

SB 114 is almost identical to HB 160 which passed the House and Senate in 1995.  Marc Racicot did Montanans a grave disservice when he vetoed that bill because when federal agents knock on an independent Montanan’s door– too often in the middle of the night– citizens need to know the identity of the intruders, that their  rights will be respected, and that they will be deemed innocent unless proven guilty.  Continue reading (12)

Judge John M. Roll: A True American Hero

by Sheriff Richard Mack, Liberty News Wire

On January 8, 2011, Federal District Judge John Roll was gunned down by a maniacal coward lunatic. Since this unspeakable and unimaginable tragedy much has been said about who caused this tragedy or who may have prompted its occurrence. Some of this rhetoric bordered on the absurd. I would much rather talk about the good people who had their lives snuffed out before their time and to pay tribute to who they were and what they stood for. Continue reading (11)

by Ed Berry

A Response to Bob Brown Regarding Nullification, Interposition and Secession

by Attorney Timothy Baldwin
(appx. 4,700 words)

For me, it is always disheartening to see men and women who have held, who hold or who wish to hold American political office possess political ideas dangerous to the fundamental liberties which America’s Declaration of Independence holds are inalienable. Yet, while disheartening as it is, it is also common. So, it is perhaps no surprise that Bob Brown, former Montana secretary of state and state Senate president, authored a recent article attacking the States’ political powers of nullification, interposition and secession. Unfortunately, it has largely been the opinion held by Brown that has enabled the ever-growing, tyrannical federal government to usurp the authority of the States and liberties of the people. Coming from people in such positions of political position and influence in such a great State as Montana, it is thus incumbent upon those of differing minds to express their dissidence, though admittedly it is impossible to engage every point in this forum.

Brown: ‘More perfect union’ doesn’t allow states’ nullification of federal law

By Bob Brown, guest columnist, Bozeman Daily Chronicle

Bob Brown (R) served 2 years in the Montana House and 23 years in the state Senate.  In 2000, he was elected Montana secretary of state. In 2004, as the Republican nominee, he lost the race for governor against Democrat Brian Schweitzer.

On Dec. 20, 150 years ago, South Carolina left the union, soon followed by other Southern states, to form a confederacy. They did so in reaction to the election of Abraham Lincoln as president and his views against the expansion of slavery. The North went to war to restore the union. Continue reading (11)

Elections and Making A Stronger Montana, Part 2 of 2

by Attorney Timothy Baldwin
(820 words)

As I discussed in Part 1 of this article, the study of political philosophy may prove that where the citizens of a State, who comprise the sovereign body-politic, do not have direct participation in the making of laws, then that State is not free and does not possess the qualities of a strong state. Admittedly, in the United States, the process of elections and law making has been largely through majority-rule representation—with few exceptions. (The reason for such a system is not for debate here.) With that understanding, the question becomes, how can the sovereign citizens accomplish the political and societal need of directly participating in law making where they are being represented by a majority-elected representative?

Would to God!

by Attorney Timothy Baldwin

In 2010, there seems to be a battle of the qualities of human nature: the side that desires independence and autonomy to acquire freedom and the side that accepts convenience and ease at the cost of slavery. Of course, ideology has much to do with how human nature deals with the stigmatisms of life, and unfortunately, that ideology today is and has been controlled largely by the national education system—the federal department of education. Despite the United States Constitution (“USC”) not granting to the federal government any powers even close to establishing a national education system, generation after generation of federal politicians have more firmly established the federal department of education’s role in the States of America’s life.
