Ken Miller violates Montana Code 45-8-216 with his Robo Calls

Many people received Ken Miller’s recent Robo Calls promoting his candidacy for Montana governor. John S. Adams reports details of Miller’s recent robo call in his The Lowdown. Whitefish governor’s debate in photos reveals the leaders.

The Pledge has achieved its goal: It has narrowed down the constitutional governor candidates to two.

by Ed Berry

The purpose of the Pledge is to help unite the conservatives toward one or two candidates. It has now produced the data. Now it is time for conservatives to act on the data.

Neil Livingstone and Corey Stapleton are the only governor candidates who signed the Constitutional Governance Pledge. Ryan Zinke is the only Lt governor candidate who signed the Pledge.

Ken Miller refused to sign the Pledge, thereby joining Bob Fanning in removing himself from the Constitutional list. Miller and Fanning are also the only two candidates who have incurred campaign finance complaints with the Commissioner of Political Practices.

The elimination of Miller and Fanning leaves Neil Livingstone as the most conservative candidate on Gary Marbut’s MSSA ratings.

Agenda 21 Conspiracy Theory or Threat

by Tom DeWeese, American Policy Center

The battle over Agenda 21 is raging across the nation. City and County Councils have become war zones as citizens question the origins of development plans and planners deny any international connections to the UN’s Agenda 21. What is the truth?

Since I helped start this war, I believe it is up to me to help with the answers.

The standard points made by those who deny any Agenda 21 connection are:

  • Local planning is a local idea.
  • Agenda 21 is a non-binding resolution not a treaty, carries no legal authority from which any nation is bound to act. It has no teeth.
  • The UN has no enforcement capability.
  • There are no “Blue-Helmeted” UN troops at City Hall.
  • Planners are simply honest professionals trying to do their job, and all these protests are wasting their valuable time.
  • The main concern of Agenda 21 is that man is fouling the environment and using up resources for future generations and we just need a sensible plan to preserve and protect the earth. What is so bad about that? Continue reading

Endorsements of Neil Livingstone and Ryan Zinke

Captain Steve Luckey, V.P of Research and Development, NEMO Arms:

As a former commercial 747 international captain, Marine fighter pilot, experienced combat special operations  commander, and corporate execute, I’ve had the opportunity to meet thousands of impressive professional people all over the world.

“Montana needs a very special team of talented individuals to effectively meet the unique, horrific challenges that we face in this critical period of history. The team must be able to face the dynamic changes represented by current  local, state, and international situations that have never been more important for our very survival and quality of life. Neil and Ryan have what it takes and I can’t think of a better choice to get the job done while representing the best interests of all of us in Montana. They are proven leaders with unparalled credentials and experience.”

John Andre, President, Worldwide Hunting Consultant, Outfitter, Author of U.S.A. vs. E.S.A., the Politically Incorrect Side of the Endangered Species Act:

“Neil Livingstone and Ryan Zinke have competed, and succeeded, on the international business stage. Those competitive skills are what they will bring to the Montana governor’s mansion. Montanans need to hire the most qualified team to provide new leadership for this state, so that it’s businesses can compete in the worldwide marketplace.  In my judgment, of all the candidates running,  Neil and Ryan are the individuals best suited to be the next C.E.O.s of the Treasure State.”  Continue reading

Marine Veteran speaks out to MG Paul Vallely on Obama

Dear General Vallely,

I’ve been in contact with you a number of times in the past four years, being similarly concerned about our Nation and the illegal alien who has been installed in office and what we must do about this.

I found it interesting you opening your column with the story of another criminal liberal needing to be a criminal in order to accomplish her goal, and to hell with laws, common courtesy, principle, all the founding stones of a civil society. Continue reading

Tea Party vs. Netroots Nations – Game on?

By J.B. Williams

International Socialists and their Washington D.C. politicians have successfully divided the once United States into competing factions, both ready for all-out war in 2012.

As the Tea Party still struggles to find an identity, unity and direction, the international left steam rolls ahead, forcing the United States towards an economic abyss via policies that promise to enslave every citizen for generations to come. It no longer requires any imagination to see the Cloward-Piven Strategy in full bloom. Continue reading

“Winds of Revolution” National Call to Action

by Paul E. Vallely

Yes, America, you are watching while Washington attempts to right itself, well at least in a political fashion it appears. Mr. Obama and his Progressive Socialists supporters / followers, Union Thugs, and ardent admirers are self-destructing from ineptitude but are not giving up on fundamentally changing America. We must understand that they have an “Agenda” and are following that “Agenda”. I am finally sensing that Americans are starting to wake up and the winds of a new revolution are swirling to save the country. Continue reading

Wind Energy: the wheels are coming off the gravy train

by Marita Noon, Energy Makes America Great, Inc

The wind energy industry has been having a hard time. The taxpayer funding that has kept it alive for the last twenty years is coming to an end, and those promoting the industry are panicking.

Perhaps this current wave started when one of wind energy’s most noted supporters, T. Boone Pickens, “Mr. Wind,” in an April 12 interview on MSNBC said, “I’m in the wind business…I lost my ass in the business.Continue reading

Sibel Edmonds Finally Wins

by David Swanson, davidswanson.org

Sibel Edmonds’ new book, “Classified Woman,” is like an FBI file on the FBI, only without the incompetence.

The experiences she recounts resemble K.’s trip to the castle, as told by Franz Kafka, only without the pleasantness and humanity.

I’ve read a million reviews of nonfiction books about our government that referred to them as “page-turners” and “gripping dramas,” but I had never read a book that actually fit that description until now.

The F.B.I., the Justice Department, the White House, the Congress, the courts, the media, and the nonprofit industrial complex put Sibel Edmonds through hell.  This book is her triumph over it all, and part of her contribution toward fixing the problems she uncovered and lived through. Rep. Scott Reichner stopped Obamacare in our Legislature

[Ed Note: Scott Reichner was one of our most forceful representatives who worked and voted against Obamacare in the Business and Labor Committee. His effort was critical in defeating four Democratic-sponsored Obamacare bills. The support by the mentioned organization was related to Workers Comp, not Obamacare. - Ed Berry]

by Frank Mutch, candidate for Montana House District 9

Rep. Scott Richner is supported by an organization whose treasurer is John Flink, a former staffer for Senator Max Baucus, Democrat.

A recent postcard that reached most, if not all voters in MT HD 9 touting Scott Reichner was sent and PAID FOR by ”Montanans For Quality Health Care“.  This probably cost around $5,000 of their money – not from Reichner’s campaign funds.

An article in the left leaning “Missoula Independent” July 30-August 6, 2009, page 14  called “Power Broker“, talks about Senator Max Baucus and his life destiny of health care reform which became Obamacare.  Continue reading

The Most Dangerous Man In The World

by Tom DeWeese, American Policy Center

Note: This is a speech I first gave to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in 1996, just four years after the UN’s Earth Summit in Rio. At the time I gave this address there were strong indications that Maurice Strong could be chosen as the next UN Secretary General. It didn’t happen, but that didn’t diminish his influence over the body. In fact, in 1996 all roads in the UN led to Maurice Strong.

This speech represented the first time that the CPAC audience and most conservatives had ever heard of the radical agenda of the environmental movement. It was probably the first time the term Sustainable Development was ever heard by a conservative audience. In fact, at the time I gave this speech, environmentalism was the most popular and most powerful movement in the world. Continue reading

Prima Donna candidates Fanning and Boniek refuse to sign the Constitutional Governance Pledge

by Ed Berry

It’s beneath them! Bob Fanning and Joel Boniek, Montana’s delusional gubernatorial candidates imagine they are so illuminated and exalted that the Montana Constitutional Governance Pledge is not worthy of them.

We have two candidates who think nothing of stealing money from their donors, and who would run Montana into the ground from their lofty perch if voters were stupid enough to elect them. But don’t worry. They will not get more that one percent of the vote.

Bob and Joel, do you expect others to grovel to you? Since you refused to sign the Pledge, you are not worthy of the State of Montana. Enjoy your dreamworld.

Dennis Hicks explains the Constitutional Governance Pledge

by Ed Berry

On Monday, April 30, Dennis Hicks sent the following email (see below) to all Montana candidates, known tea party leaders, and more. He asked for signatures to his Montana Constitutional Governance Pledge. This Pledge pulls together the essence of what all conservatives and their groups profess to support. It is for voters and candidates.

Quoting from Dennis Hicks (and I fully agree with Dennis):

In my opinion, any Montana conservative leader who cannot unite behind the fundamental Constitutional principles in the Pledge, is not a leader, but is functionally an obstructionist practicing his damaging skills at the most dangerous time. Continue reading

Letter from Drew Turiano, candidate for Secretary of State

In running for the office of Montana Secretary of State, there are some transcendent political issues that I care deeply about, and if I win the election in November, I will promote.

One of those issues is state’s rights. You may ask, what can a Secretary of State do about strengthening state’s rights for Montana?

Ryan Zinke: Why I’m running to be Montana’s Lt. Governor

by Ryan Zinke

I am often asked “why run for office given the present political environment of distrust, misrepresentation, and personal attacks?”

The simple answer is I care about working families and the legacy we leave our children. I care about having better jobs and better education. I care about using our public lands for the benefit of all and developing our resources without harming our environment.

I also care about the future of our country and believe the failure of partisan politics has put our nation and our state at risk. It’s time “We the People” stand together and reinstitute personal responsibility and protect our constitutional freedoms. Continue reading

Ed Berry files Campaign Finance Complaint against Bob Fanning

by Ed Berry, Fanning campaign manager until January 25, 2012

Today, I filed a campaign finance complaint against Robert T. Fanning, Jr, with the Montana Commissioner of Political Practices. I did so because I believe Bob Fanning did not properly report the income and expenses of his campaign account.

Bob Fanning was the campaign treasurer for his own campaign account, which is very unusual for a candidate to do. Therefore, he put himself in a position of very high liability for the management of his campaign funds.

You can read the first parts of my complaint on the CPP website. There are more Exhibits not yet shown on the CPP site. Therefore, I include here all the Exhibits to date that you may download for your own review. Continue reading

Is Corey Stapleton’s fundraising breaking the law? Hard to believe otherwise

by Don Pogreba, Intelligent Discontent

While American Partnership Tradition is doing its best to destroy political accountability in Montana, the state still does have strict restrictions on the reporting of individual contributions to political campaigns. Montana’s rules about these donations are quite clear: when a person reaches an aggregate total of $35 dollars in donations to a campaign, that amount must be reported.

Even a cursory examination of Corey Stapleton’s last campaign finance report makes it obvious that his campaign is circumventing those laws. Compared to other candidates, he’s been raising an enormous amount of money from “pass the hat” donations at political events across the state, far more than  any other candidate—and enough to make the amounts quite suspect.

He reported the following contributions as “pass the hat”: Continue reading

Former Chief Fundraiser alleges Ken Miller violated Montana campaign finance laws

Miller denies former fundraiser’s claims of misdoings

by John S. Adams, Tribune Capital Bureau

HELENA —Republican gubernatorial hopeful Ken Miller’s former chief fundraiser on Wednesday accused Miller’s campaign of misreporting funds, accepting campaign donations over the statutory contribution limits, accepting anonymous donations, and failing to disclose certain campaign expenditures.

Kelly Bishop, of Polson, resigned as Miller’s finance director on April 14, the day after she and Miller attended the Lake County Lincoln Reagan Dinner in Ronan.

Bishop, who was hired in January and was still listed on Miller’s campaign website Monday afternoon, said in an interview she had firsthand knowledge of Miller accepting several campaign donations that did not appear on campaign finance reports as required by state law.

“At one point it was close to $14,000 that I accounted for that was missing off one of the campaign finance reports,” Bishop said. Continue reading

Obama is without blame

by Dick Wells

It is popular to place blame on president Obama for all the things he does as president. I do not believe that is fair, either to him, or to the nation. Obama is like a two year-old with a machinegun, lacking adult supervision, he can do a lot of damage! Obama is simply doing what is natural for him, being our first known president made of whole cloth. We can no more blame him, than we could a mamma Grizzly Bear for killing a hiker between her and her cubs. Continue reading

The Truth about Bob Fanning

by Ed Berry, PhD

When the Fanning campaign boasted they had obtained the endorsement of Mr. Edward Griffin and Dr. Edwin Vieira, I wrote their endorsements applied only to the Fanning platform and not to the man Bob Fanning … as you can readily determine by reading their endorsements.

As a rebuttal to my post, my friend Elias Alias - writing for Bob Fanning because apparently Fanning cannot write – returned the Fanning fire in seven lengthy comments @1, @4, @7, @8, @10, @11, and @13.

Montana’s Wildlife Agency and Governor operate outside the Law

by Toby Bridges, LoboWatch

Now, that’s a pretty strong statement to be openly making about Governor Brian Schweitzer and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.  Perhaps, but that elected official and the state fish and wildlife agency he literally rules have just as openly ignored state legislation mandating procedures the agency must take, or how, under Schweitzer, MT FWP has totally violated the mission they are supposed to fulfill, as outlined by law in the Montana State Constitution.

The most recent violation of enacted state legislation involves the moving of Yellowstone bison onto the Ft. Peck Indian Reservation, in the northeastern corner of the state. Continue reading
